I’m in the minority who likes the way they look. I played a handful of them years ago when you’d see used ones around in shops from time to time, always enjoyed the chance to do so.

The most I've spent on one is around $4k, and realistically that's about where my upper limit is.

I would either get a cheap donner for $50, or spend the money for a cioks, strymon, voodoo, etc.

I’ve used “Mesa” tubes in their amps for years, because they are a solid choice. They also cost twice as much as they once did, so I’ll use something else next time I need a set.

Around 20 years ago, I ditched my OG 5150 & Gibson explorer… For a line 6 flextone & some Ibanez SZ model.

If someone can offer a proper one, I’d probably get one as well. Love my OG combo, but it’s much more practical for me without the cab attached.

Analogman Sunface into Suhr SL67 is a sound I wish I’d discovered years ago. I can even fake it decently enough using a bluesbreaker pedal into a low volume clean amp, after the fuzz. I can’t say how it would measure up to the OG

A CE24 with your choice of pickups & a good setup is hard to beat.

They just make amps to help fund their memorabilia business.

I got used to using coiled cables live & actually found that I preferred them.

I think these are cool, I’d love to play one. We saw them live last year, they look better in person.

The few I’ve played were top notch, on par with my USA charvel. Some of the finishes they’re putting out these days are really fantastic looking.
