Its a crap shoot. I've won big, and got some clunkers. Best case, you can find stuff under priced .Worst case is I'm out an hour ride back and forth to dump it off at my local store and get a refund.
Line 6 cabs are the worst. I had a POD Go for a minute and also a Stomp. Free IR's improved the tones but at the end of the day the tones are just not there for me. Fractal tones are so much better straight out of the box. You can gig with a Fractal factory preset no problem.
I love those old Kramers. But the prices are stupid. Unless you need the old school mojo,You can build a comparable guitar for much less. They were nothing more than parts guitars assembled in a factory in NJ back in the day. The newer Pacer with a few upgrades will get you there or buy a...
Hell yea, I just picked up this JS32 dinky archtop for a beater/shredder for 3 and change and its pretty killerhttps://www.jacksonguitars.com/en-US/body-shape/dinky/js-series-dinky-arch-top-js32-dka/2910238552.html
I played Birch Hill a few times back in the 90s also. Saw C.O.C there on the Wiseblood tour which was epic, also saw Iron Maiden with Blaze Baily on vocals, not so epic. I also played at Club Benee and Obsessions in NJ back in the day.
Exactly, it's all in the Fractal. All the Mark tones, The JP2C, all the Rectos the Lone Star, Triple Crown and even the Subway Blues. And you can call anything up with the tap of a switch, plus killer effects without all the fuss of pedals, cables and switchers. My days of $3000 tube amps are over.
Love Boogie but Fractal nails the Boogie tones and you can recall as many of them you want instantly, instead of turning knobs and switches every time you want to change it up. At $3500 it's a hard sell.
Saw George Saturday night with Lynch mob, then came out later in the night and did 3 songs with Dokken. He was pretty good but, All I have to say is John Levin is a fuckin beast!!
It comes in as an offer, so it's all documented. Ebay has a similar thing where you can send offers to watchers. I don't want to be spammed either. It's kind of like the oops you left something in your cart emails you get now from every website.
They can send you offers even if you just look!! I received an offer on items I have LOOKED AT but never put on my watch list. I was casually looking at a Jackson JS32 Arch Top in Pavo Purple. I was surprised to see an offer from the seller, Brand new at a great price. I accepted and now own it...
40% to 50% markup is pretty normal in retail. 100% markup on small items is not unheard of. BTW that's a real dick move going into a business computer and probably illegal. Better hope you were not on camera.
I had a M60. Great amp. But nothing super unique sounding. I thought about getting another at one point, but not sure if repair would be a PITA if ever needed since they are defunct. I remember a lot of ribbon cables inside.
"Just given a clean bill of health by my tech." Who takes it in and pays for service if there was nothing wrong with it? It was fucked up and you had it fixed good enough to unload it
