Yep, with a guitar that is properly set up, with nut slots filed nice and low, that action is achievable, and very comfortable. I tend to run my action at 1mm on the high E or slightly below and about 1.25 on Low. The pick trick is a good one! Makes for a fine enough feeler gauge.
