IDK how I missed this thread but it was an absolute treat.
Thanks for sharing BeZo! Really clean wiring and work. Your board looks sweeeet man. Kudos on the work on hm the other board as well - took it to the next level.
I see the issue you are having. I would draw out what needs blocked together on paper.
Your FX loop pedals, they have to stay blocked no matter what, so build around those.
Your preamp pedals with be much more malleable as far as where they can be positioned and such.
Looks like you pretty...
One way to know for sure it to know the start/end of the pickup and what colors correspond to that. Each anufacturer can change these colors, so it is best to contact them directly if you are able to for that information.
Are you using a mini humbucker like in the diagram or an actual single coil?
I think they had Oz dial them in. Sounded terrible. He has terrible tone in general.
Reminds me of random 15 yo stoner kids playing random power chord riffs with way too much of everything on, as loud as possible, and thinking that meant it was good.
Again, can almost guarantee Oz dialed...
Normally, this would be something for the OTC, so I get it if mods want to move this.
That being said, the other celeb deaths were posted here so.....
I watched a video titled: 'The Most Evil Singer Ever Just Got Killed', as you probably guessed by the title.
Who? Ian Watkins.
At least...
My Besttronics cabling stomped my Mogami by miles.
The BTPA also measures at half the capacitance compared to Canare, etc.
Cannot recommend BTPA cabling enough.
SGs can have a midrange bark and bite that a LP just can't quite put out. Kudos on your new addition! A killer SG has yet to make it into my stable but I believe the day will come.
Also, congrats on taking a guitar that wasn't quite hitting the mark and making a change instead of just sitting...
What a shame that someone did that to the guitar in the first place.
Definitely looks a lot better than it did! Really sweet finish on that one as well.
Straight in most of the time is the way to do things if you can get you rsound that way. That is what I do 99% of the time.
When we are talking about gigging as opposed to sitting in a home studio and recording or something like that, the conversation leans even more to "straight in".
That...
See, this is also what I am thinking of doing.
I went with the 16 for now, as was recommended, due to that being what is currently in my rig.
I want to check the tonal differences between that old cable and the new, so the same gauge will work well for that.
I may make a harness out of 12g...
Thanks for the gauge recommendation! 12 was definitely too thick for inside the cabinet. 16 should do the trick I would imagine, though I feel tempted to see if I could push it with 14. If I wanted to try to go straight copper to terminal connecitons, the 14 would probably be too large as...
I saw this earlier today and thought they sounded pretty good.
Definitely sounded better than what was in there previously.
I also didn't hear that standard flatness I associate with noiseless single coil pickups generally, which is a bonus.
