Pretty sure the Blue Album was a Mark I Super 60 into a greenback cab. El Jefe did use a MkIII back in the day. Fletcher from Pennywise had some Mark IV action as well. Neal Schon used a IIC+. Izzy Stradlin used a MkIII. Tighten used a IIC+. :p

Correct on all* points. I had the 6th to last III made, a SRG, and it was from 1999. *Between the Blues & the Green there was a preamp board change, CP1G to CP1H. I don't know the difference though. The blues are the most common III. For a short head in good condition I'd say around $2200.

FWIW, I've shown up at gigs where for whatever reason my Mark II was humming like a motherfucker, and after a very helpful FOH guy loaned me one of these Morley Hum Exterminators, I got one & would now never go to a show without it. Problem solved.

After experiencing the Van Den Hul instrument cable I picked up a Van Den Hul speaker cable, and in that case I cannot tell a difference A/Bing. I asssume that once the signal is powered it doesn't matter.
