Purples are generally the least sought after III (splitting hairs really). I'd say $2000-2500 really depending on condition and service history, as you can take any of the chassis and convert to a head / rack / combo easily.

I've played the 100, 30 & the pedal, and I think the pedal does a pretty good job. It is colored by the amp you're running it through so there is that, but for the price it's worth checking out.

From a different perspective, I think a lot of it may have to do with the fact that the SLO-100, to get it to sound good, is WAY LOUDER than most people can handle. They end up playing at house volumes where the amp is underwhelming. There are only a couple amps I've played that I really caution...

FWIW, my perspective is that IIIs are much better in the live band than a IIC+ because of the extra harshness. IIC+ suck live in a band mix, too smooth & polite for hard rock or heavier. That said the C+ is much better in the bedroom than a III. I'd take a IIB, III or IV any day of the week...

I'd pass on the SR and aim for the DRG. Have it serviced & III+ modded by Mike B. and you're as close as you're going to get to a C+. $2500 is in the ballpark if it's clean, high if it's not.
