Any reason those two in particular? There are lot of other great (and better IMO) amps out there...
I'd sooner go for a Diezel or Soldano (obvious bias), VHT/Fryette Deliverance or Cornford (if you can find one). I don't think the EVH amps should be overlooked either.
FWIW I've never heard a...
I have an aby splitter running to the AX8 and one amp being fed through one of the two notes to the pc. Both into the same interface. Only other real variable is the two notes.. otherwise identical signal chain. I compared it against all 4 of my amps... the AX8 is just not close. It's definitely...
I just picked up an AX8 and am not impressed with it at all, it sounds lifeless compared to my real amps, I've been directly a/bing them with the same impulse responses, the Fractal isn't close. It does give you a decent impression of what the modelled amps actually sound like, but the sound and...
Do it! Sold my V 25 recently and replaced it with the Einstein. Super happy and that's not even a VH2 or VH4! The Mark rhythm tone is cool but that channel 3 tone is untouchable.
Great video! The VH2 slays the BE IMO. Same impression I had IRL when I compared a BE, JJ and VH4. It sounds bigger, nastier, rawer and angrier.
You should've used the Silverburst though! That's a gorgeous guitar.
This isn't helping for my VH2/VH4 GAS
Most of the Youtubers are irritating as hell. And I especially hate any of those clickbait videos of 'guitarist/drummer/singer/teacher reacts to x'. As if putting that in the title of the video means their opinions are somehow more relevant.
Saying that some guys are cool:

Johan Segeborn...
I currently have the Einstein 50 combo. It is a fantastic amp but I can't get out of my head how good the VH4 I played was, obviously channel 3. It was just tighter, angrier and drier than the Einstein. Is my impression correct? I didn't spend too much time with the VH4. Is the difference...
Seems like there were a lot of Wizards around as well
Check the last photo. I spy a Soldano in the back as well.

More from Joe Barresi - you can tell this is Adam related as the blueface and his Marshall are in the second photo. Deliverance also in the...
Whatever the stock speaker is, it just has black covering the back of speaker. Doesn't seem to be any text on it.
The VH4 I played was brand new, probably made this year or last.
Had the Einstein for a bit now, enough to give my impressions. I find it is a very dark sounding amp, probably too much for my tastes or maybe I am just too used to the Soldano! I run it almost with the treble and presence cranked. The thing I like the most is that thick, harmonically complex...
If it’s anything like the VH4 I played I’m sure I will love it!
Would there be any use in using an EQ (MXR ten band) to make it sound any closer to a VH4, either in front of the amp or in the loop?
Is that Ch 1 mega or Ch 2? I’m looking at a 50w combo, any experience with those? Found one available for a pretty reasonable price. Decent first foray into Diezel I guess.
Wondering how close the Einstein gets to Ch3 of the VH4 (or Ch2 of the VH2).
The Einstein seems to be around half the price so wondering if it is close enough considering the price difference. I’ve played a VH4 and loved that ‘evil’, tight and punchy low end and just how overall big it...
Looking for opinions on the Uberschall (rev blue). I've never had the chance to play one but I've always been interested in them.
I have a Mark V 25 which I have been considering selling and maybe replacing with an Uber, but not sure if I will regret it. I find I'm preferring the larger sound...
Unimpressed with the BE100... aggressive tone, tight like the Helios Eclipse but it's just all low end with not a lot of real bite. Better than the Helios Eclipse but it sounds almost plastic. The JJ well... I don't really have much to say about it.. I'll just leave it at that.
The VH4 on the...
