I'm with rcm78 and Hard & Heavy. I have the 100CL & UL. Bonded with CL straight away...must be the EL34's. The 100CL has the half power switch as well. And yes, played thru a VHT cab is pure win :rock:

I think the HBE input should have enough gain, if not he could always jump on the Koko boost. And yes, do tell us of the final incarnation of the Steve Stevens amp. It should be killer :rock:

As others have already said, pair that Fryette head with a Fryette cab & you can't go wrong. I have the CL, UL, & Sig:X amps. Ended up choosing the Deliverence cab over the Fat Bottom, as its less directional & a little more vintagey. No complaints :thumbsup:

Can't believe anyone hasn't mentioned the VHT/Fryette Sig:X. That was my first thought when I read "perfect" cover band amp. 3 channels to give you wonderful cleans, crunch & heavy. Excellent fx loop. Intelligent footswitch, that will remember which channels you want boosted. Ticks all boxes...
