I listened to your video, to me I sounds lie it's quite scooped and a lot of bright top end when the stone block was installed. Hard to tell with that much gain what else it does but clearly not what I'd be looking for. To me the tone went from nice and girthy to Line 6 buzziness and sounded...
Cool dude, so glad she made it to you with no issues. You never know these days. Let us know what you think. I'll miss this one, that is a bad ass lookin amp too! Nice pic!
Bogner V30 4x12...and believe it or not my fav right now is a DV Mark 4x12 with their Neo drivers. Weighs 46 lbs and sounds great to me with most of my amps....unbelievably light! Want to try changing the top two V30s for Greenbacks in the Bogner cab to see how that sounds. haven't found a pair...
What's the best compromise in sound gains vs trem working same as stock, some blocks are big and limit the travel, I don't want this. What gains have you noticed? I have lots of Floyd guitars and haven't done this upgrade yet but want to try one. Which do you recommend? Thanks
Yeah it was a bit daunting...plus we had like zero room on the stage. Holdsworth had this huge rig and the drummers kit was a monster so I played the gig with my ass hitting my amp behind me and my pedal board right in front of me. Once we got going and the audience got into it I forgot all...
Me too, ground breaking guitar player and big influence. I had a Fusion band back in the day and we opened up for Holdsworth. One of my best memories. He liked when we did a couple of Bruford tunes and Don't make Waves by Brand X. Did a big long solo at the end in the style of John Goodsall. He...
Again another guy on that show who's abilities seem to plummet...I don't get what it is but very few people sound even decent on that show. Its like they loose 50% of their capabilities in that studio, weird. Zack sounded awful to me...like most guitar guests on TMS. sorry...with that much gain...
Looking at that one on CL I'm thinking that metal cab handle in the top of that thing must get nice and toasty if you run the amp hard for a few hours. Brilliant I tell ya, brilliant! I'm also certain that plastic cup holder in the top will keep your coffee nice and hot...your beer, hmmn...
I have a Suhr S-4 HSH splitable pickups flame maple cap mahogany body and neck I would consider parting with if that floats your boat..SS frets too. Was a special run of Mahogany bodies guitar with mahogany necks. I have 2 only reason I would consider parting with this one. Its red with White PG...
Hello Music has new Fender Std Strat Floyd HSS in candy Red for $599. That's a lot of capability for the money right in the wheel house of Huff and others you mentioned for a brand new guitar.

small powered 10 inch woofer PA speakers will hold up better to the low end and they will have more whack. Studio monitors in my experience don't hold up at volume especially on the low end.
Just buy a couple of powered small PA speakers...really easy to overpower anything else with a guitar amps at volume. Theres a ton of inexpensive but good ones these days
