New Hartford, Connecticut is where Ovation Guitars was located. Maybe they're in the old factory? I dated the founder's son's step-daughter.
I wonder if they'd let me go there and try a guitar out before I buy it? I'll call there Monday.
Sold! Mark 7 by John Bazzano, on Flickr
How long ago did M/B release the Mk.7? New, no box, less than $2k!
6 different preamps, 2 channels, multi-watt, cab clone, etc., verses a 2 channel nostalgia amp? I bet it will sound similar to the new C+ versions that do sound "almost" as good as the...
It will be exactly like all new amps. Sterile, over-compressed after 1:00 on the dial, dull and lifeless in a band setting.
Of course it will. It's a new amp with Chinese shit for components, duh! Fucking Crap-ola.
If you know, you know. A sm57 in front of a speaker compared to a precision...
In 1980, I had my chance at a 1959 Black Les Paul but it was $5,000.00!! $3,500.00 more than the 1955 Stratocaster and 1972 Marshall Super lead half stack that I bought instead. I remember thinking, "$5,000.00? for 1 guitar, I could buy the '62 Strat for $500.00 too", so I did!
I sold my C++...
I've had a few days now to reflect on my purchase of the C+ and I'm feeling very fortunate to have been in the right place at the right time. Even my wife found it ironic the price of 5051 is the 4 of her ssn! Fate, merciful fate in reality.
I've been looking for something new to tickle my...
I was looking for something new, guitar or amp to light the fire up. I have super, incredibly great guitars and amps and all but still. mus-Einstein by John Bazzano, on Flickr
I looked at what was listed here in the classifieds and on Craigslist. I saw a full 1980's Marshall Jubilee stack near...
I was willing to drive to Baltimore, Scammer scumbag. He has been exposed by others.
I'm super-stoked for the head I got.
Scam by John Bazzano, on Flickr
I've been here for years. I post clips and record my music for everyone. My avatar should be a clue as to what I like to play!
I'm not a tone chaser though, I was a Marshall devotee for years until I bought a Mark IV 12 years ago. Since then, 30-40 Boogies, All mark iterations, B coliseum...
 As I watched the listing, saying to myself, "what? Where did this come from?" Listed 5 years ago? Wait a minute, this amp wasn't here on Reverb yesterday. Is it a fake ad? Hmmmm, maybe a scam, there is a scam C+ in Baltimore for $4,200. Hmmm, it looks legit.
I saw offer rejected come up...
Here are the other two I've owned. SRG (sixty, reverb, Graphic EQ) and a DG (simul-class, Graphic EQ C++) I liked the SRG better but I had to try a C++. I be giving a call to Mike B. @ Boogie to send it in to get a check up.
We all have our favorite amp, I still have a Dave Hopkins modded...

Shoot me if I sell this one. Seriously, shoot me. Yes, I regret not hanging on to the previous two I've owned.
Everything lined up perfect IMO. I kept seeing the #1111 since my father died, ser. # 11191 on amp.
I've owned many, many, Boogies and the Quad is my favorite. I've tried a few power amps with it and I like the tone I get with the 50/50.
What is the "Russian Treatment"?

At one point I had the Quad paired with a Rectifier preamp and a 400 power amp...
