Owned a 20th Anniversary Ecstasy w/ 6L6s. It's one of my favorite amps ever. It is extremely versatile, very usable gain at high levels and the Bogner chew.
I LOVE that riff! I have been stuck on 90% playing that riff with the right amount of swing for over 30 years now. Eddie was special that way.
That being said, my favorite album tone of his is VH II.
I am in 100% agreement here. I have five and they all play and feel the way you described it. My first is still my #1. I plan to have it broken down and used in the making of my coffin when I die! :cool:(y)
