Not included in the video is this 2012 FT Eclipse. It's in a one-off color (for a SS Eclipse) in dark candy red. My buddy has an FT in silverburst and he paid more than I would have.
The FT Eclipses are great, but I actually prefer the regular thickness ones.
I have a few. I kinda did a deep-dive into them one day when I was bored.
FWIW, I've owned 3 FT Eclipses (still have 2) and with passive pickups, they do the same things that Les Pauls do. I'm not sure what you guys think they're missing. They have a bit more of the low-mid thing than the...
There was a thread like this a few years ago on TGP. Same break on the Hercules.
I had guitars hung using String Swing hangers for 14 years. Each was screwed into a stud. When I took them down, they were still tight to the wall and they tore paint off the wall. ?
Like many others in the thread, I own (and have owned) many ESP/LTD guitars over the years, ranging from 200 level LTDs to Custom Shop ESPs. I'd always said that they make excellent value for the price range guitars up and down their product lines. At the moment, the E-II guitars are probably...
I've never seen proof that Gibson actually sued ESP. Perhaps there have been cease and desist letters sent over the years, who knows?
But the word in the internet is that ESP stopped making MX guitars entirely, even in Japan. I believe that was during the whole "play authentic" / Dean lawsuit...
Bram, what exactly is it you're looking to have built?
I'm an ESP guy, and have a few CS guitars, but I've never ordered one new. An option to consider is finding a small builder make you the guitar. I've worked with a friend who builds guitars on several guitars over the years and have been...
I have a few other guitars from this builder, but they were always builds he had in the works. This is the first one that I did the specs. Got it last February.
White one is rumored to be coming and is, perhaps, a GC exclusive.
I like explorers, but this one doesn't do anything for me. Maybe if I didn't own an ESP MX I'd feel differently.
The bolt-on US models were being built at Iconic Guitars, at least for a while. I have a friend who works there and he built the Warlock models that Metallica presented to the kid from Stranger Things.
