Flamed koa, it's quite striking in person. The ESP Custom Shop knows how to build a fine guitar. I'm quite happy with the standard series Eclipses I have, but I couldn't pass up the deal when this one popped up.
Yeah man, I wouldn't worry about it. I think they're plenty strong. They've used this joint on set-through necks since 2014 or 2015.
The blue Eclipse is a 4-knob. I have a few of them. I prefer the horn shape on those guitars. I have no idea why, but you can't argue with GAS.

(For those who aren't familiar with the new ESP neck joint)
Yeah, I don't mind the "old" style. Maybe it's because I grew up playing Gibsons. I've had two with the newer joint and they feel really solid. I've had the neck pickup out on the newer style and I believe (but can't remember...
My opinion, based on selling multiple guitars on Craigslist and getting offers for all manner of things: sell the Corvette, use the money to buy the amp. If I'm listing a piece of gear on CL with a price attached, it's because I'm looking for cash.
It's black limba, the same wood that's commonly called korina. The "korina" wood is the sapwood and the black limba is the heart wood. It was made by my friend Rob. He builds under the name RRR Custom Guitars.
I've always liked this one. I think it was actually posted by a member here a bunch of years ago. The inlay is great. My memory says it was a trans red, but I guess I didn't save any photos of it complete.
The ones I like best include it in an actual mix setting (including double tracked, if appropriate) and then include solo tracks both mic'd and in the room.
I also had that setup as my main gigging rig for years. I agree, it needs an EQ in the loop to really get the most out of it.
I went away from the TriAxis setup for something more modern sounding (and also lighter.)
This guitar is a fake. Headstock shape is the easy giveaway, but there are a lot of other tells.
I haven't played the EC-1000T model, but the every LTD 1000 series guitar I've played has been fantastic. I have no reason to believe the T model will ruin this opinion for me.
I have a trio of...
My main rig is just a wah and a decimator. I use a KSR Artemis and a G-major for all of the "effecty" bits. I have a 6505 as a backup which I run a decimator, a microamp+ and a CE-5. That's it for me.
Even playing mostly LP style guitars, I never find myself lacking in high end. Just my experience.
Another user of the Canare L-4E6S here. I agree with blackba that the woven shield is difficult to work with, but I think the benefit of the better shielding is worth it.
I use the Canare GS-6 for my instrument cables and pedal boards. (FWIW, I don't run a big board.) I know people dislike the...
I don't know for sure. Under 9lbs for the FT always seemed pretty light to me, but I thought it may be a different species of mahogany they were using. All of my Les Pauls are over 10lbs.
Both of my FT guitars have a slightly bigger neck than the normal Eclipses, but that was listed on the...
Neither of my ESPs do, but some of the LTDs do and I think the modern E-II guitars do. ESP moved to the sculpted neck joint around 2016ish, but they still have guitars with the Gibson style. I think it has to do with the models that are double bound.
Older, Gibson style joint vs newer...
