I think you can get made in Japan ones now. I have a Swedish custom shop. It's pretty impeccable without being lifeless. I bought it thinking I'd just use it for shred prog type stuff but I use it for a lot more than that.
I had a kemper and couldn’t fault the tones, providing whoever made to capture set the amp up exactly as I would have, ran it through the exact cab I would have and miced it exactly as I would have. This is ultimately why I sold it. the EQ is more like console EQ after the mic, not EQ on the...
89 Alpine White LP Custom. Bought new with money I made cleaning offices and was my first real guitar. It meant too much for me to abuse at the gigs I had at the time so it just sat in the case most of its life with me. Too nice to play.
Steinberger GM4T. Vito inspired and haunts me as one of...
Amazing transaction with @vultures involving a high dollar amp. Superb packing. Honest and professional transaction through and through. Even threw in some unexpected extras.
I have an OG SLO and a 100B. I find them different enough to have both. Viola/cello is how I think of them. Don't think I like one more than the other. They each have their own uses. Both have a pretty wide range of tones from clean to lead.
I think they all do. What I've found is if you're a thumb over the top of the neck, Hendrix chords in the left hand kind of guy, it's probably not going to be very comfortable. If you're more of a thumb on the back of the neck, guitar in the classical position (they basically balance themselves...
Wonderful MI era Duel 60. According to the seller I bought it from, this was recently gone through by Danny Russell himself so it's tuned up as well as a Naylor can be.
SOLD $3250 shipped/paypal ff. SOLD Can discuss Venmo if desired.
The tax stuff stopped me from selling anything this year. I toyed with selling my iic+ and 100B but ended up pulling them down after considering the tax hit.
If you want a DRG iic+, here's your shot. Factory iic+ (not a conversion). 105 transformer. Currently in a Mesa head shell and I also have the rack kit. Gone through by Todd Sharp's crew at Nashville Amp Repair. It's a no issues classic. $10k plus actual insured shipping.
Yeah. I rarely use a pedal in front of an xtc unless it's in plexi mode. I have plenty of other amp options if I'm wanting wilder or more aggressive. I use my xtc for what it likes to do.
If it's that red 100a, that's the 100a I owned. I sold it to the guy posting those clips. It has plenty of gain. That's the amp Vai used on Tender Surrender (like the actual amp. It used to belong to cliff cultreri.) All XTC's have a bunch of gain, it's just smooth, singing gain. Not hairy...
