Nice tone! Diezel amps with such type of pickups are great tone machines. Had a set of those in a LP Traditional and they sounded fantastic with the VH4 :thumbsup:

Fortunately I own the real thing, vh4. And these days, between my guitar and vh4 only a cable is allowed :) I also thought that both the concept and sound quality of this pedal were too questionable for this to be a Diezel product. Using the logo is outrageous!

I used a Hagen a lot with Les Paul and Häussel 1959. Love the sound of this combo. I found that if one cranks the poweramp section the Hagen will sing like a Diva. Do you have to solo with ch 4? My preferred lead channel on the Hagen is the 3rd and the 4th is my higher gain rhythm - better...

The Koch you mention is a great piece of gear. You can take the poweramp signal from the Koch and apply impulses later in the DAW. You will get much better tones than by taking the signal from the amp's preamp (fx send). Also the Koch does a great job in preserving a nice high end without the...

+1 That's one of my all time fav low gain Diezel tones. Did not mentioned it because I was referring to the current production models. Sold my Einstein and damn how I miss that tone... :cry:

Interesting video. I agree that the hagen has a great vintage kind of feel to it. For me the vh4 is nothing of what you describe. Maybe wrong pickups or eq? This is a vh4 in the vid below. IMHO the "bluesiest" Diezel of the range (not counting the Schmidt in) 0PTmxZBIfys

:thumbsup: Peter, it is a lost battle. There will always be reviews which give wrong information. People that misunderstand concepts and transmit their misunderstandings to the masses etc etc. And you can spent all of your time answering the same question and still, someone will ask it again...

Nice comparison! But I do see a mid cut engaged on the D Moll, thing that the modded Peavey doesn't have. So are these tones directly comparable? :confused:
