@phillybhatesme did you also change the internal trim pots' position to lower the gain of Channel 1? I feel this helps it even more, and there's still plenty of gain left for classic heavy metal tones on that channel, but then the lower part of the gain knob's travel can do really nice crunch...
Somehow, 'Rod' should be part of the name as well. And his Turbo Lover co-star Dick 'Stache...
at the time, probably fond of little Traci L, also went up a different path. \:D/
Judging from your comment, you've never played the BE-OD Deluxe.
@griff10672 please back me up on this, as a fellow pedal builder.
I've built and modded various pedals myself, including TS-ones and built a Thermionic Deluxe, WHILE owning an original Friedman BE-OD Deluxe.

"And?" nothing, Mr. Strong-comeback. :geek:
Clearly you and Techdeth were talking about two very different things; one being a venue's upholstery being torn, the other one being Jani Lane's 'upholstery' possibly being torn. The 2nd one took place in LA, not MSG, NY.
Only if Madison Square Garden is located on the LA sunset strip. :p
The deal about the '84 MSG show was that the fans went crazy and tore out most of the seats, leading to Judas Priest being banned there.
Infamous? Sure. Typical rock 'n roll mid 80's debouchery? You bet. Worthy of a...
Uhmm...aaaand? It's not like @Matt300ZXT was suggesting getting raped by a famous dude killed him on the spot, now did he? :cautious:
@Matt300ZXT I also saw that video; it was some DJ/metal vlogger, right? He did all the investigation, checking tour dates, and when Warrant moved from FL to CA...
I'm originally a guitar player, but I dabble in bass guitar as well and own two; a Tokai Hard Puncher '81 (great Fender P-copy from Japan) and a Cort Artisan NA-4 (active with Bartolini MKI pickups).
Both 4 strings, but very different in sound, function, character. I have 0 interest in a...
Chopper works well in neck with a Norton bridge, and in 2 different guitars (SSH and HSH) I've thrown a Fast Track 1 in the middle; for that bright, single-coily tone without needing it to coilsplit.
Purely based on DiMarzio's website, I'd consider the Red Velvet and Injector too if I was you...
Based on the pots date code, my black LPC is from '87 and it already has the larger diamond inlay.
Note that both of mine are the 'disconnected' diamonds and yours has the S-shaped diamond, where top-left and bottom-right triangles are connected through the middle beam. I was under the...
I'm dead smack in the middle at 5'10"... Borked and Dased I guess. :dunno:
But I got a good 4 inches over lil' ol' Kerry, hyuk hyuk. \:D/
Although he's one of the few on that list that would be all "Why don't you say that to mah face, tall guy?!" when Marty Friedman would be way chiller about...
Well, I was considering The Great Kat in lieu of Tom Scholz, but being a (sound)engineer myself, ol' Tom got the nod. :p
And it did help he singlehandedly wrote and played one of the best albums from the 70's.
I see yours has the larger diamond inlay on the headstock. I wonder if smaller vs larger was random for Burny or if there's some other distinction associated with it. Is yours quite a chonker in terms of weight as well? I believe mine is well over 11lbs.
I have its older brothers in RR style and black, and the RR I kept the frets original; it's an '83 RLC70, so it also has the fret end nibs.
The black '87 one also had those, but the refret (with Dunlop jumbos) got rid of them unfortunately.
My 'RR' is Duncan loaded; after many swaps I settled...
In no particular order except #1, #2 and #3:
Jimi Hendrix
EVH
Paco de Lucía
David Gilmour
Tom Scholz
Randy Rhoads
Adrian Smith
George Lynch
Warren DeMartini
Andy LaRocque
See, I actually kept it to 10.
