Essentially, yes. It's John Suhr's take on the best old Plexi Marshall spec. Since I did the video posted above, a ppimv has been added to the amp, as it's so useful and is totally out of the circuit if turned all the way up.
You have a reputable builder, and Cliff at DAG who is a respected dealer and is universally well liked in the guitar world, stating publicly that they offered a full refund or a new guitar, if the broken one was returned.... and you are going to dismiss that, with a "we'll see" and skepticism...
Thanks Steve, yes bottom line is the world is far from perfect but as you said, it should just be a case of both sides coming together and working it out, as opposed to any nastiness which in this case seems really unwarranted.
This has all escalated to the point of being really ugly. I really wish Steve's guitar hadn't been broken, but some of the posts in this thread are unreal. There's a right way and a wrong way to do things and solve problems and in my estimation, there was a solution(s) offered by Gil and Cliff...
They are real nice with a bright loud Plexi type amp especially- they act as a great filter- they aren't too loud, which is cool (much like a Heritage Greenback, they are a lower efficiency speaker)
Hi guys, I've been using the Live extensively, and you can hear it on all guitars in my vids (just search for Pete Thorn youtube channel) for the Lovepedal Echophonic Jr. and the Wampler Dual Fusion... makes life in the studio so much easier! I'll be using it on much of what I do. I'll stop in...
Totally good question I think! Overdrives.... These days my favs are the XTS Precision, KOT (it's AWESOME), Bogner Blue, and I like the Koko boost to kick the front of an amp into overdrive. I like my old Eternity and Abunai 2 lots as well.
Distortions- the CM Plexitone, XTS Atomic OD, Bogner...
Haven't tried the Malekko... The El Cap is one of my favorite delays, it's awesome. It does the delay into dirty amp thing well, although I might give the edge to this Lovepedal in that dept.! The mix knob is outstanding.
Sean from Lovepedal said he specifically tailored the mix knob for the dirty amp thing- it's almost hard to make it sound bad because of this. It's bitchin!

This is a great vintage-style echo with some unique features. It's EXCEPTIONAL into a distorted amp, like a plexi, for that echoplex-type thing!
