Yeah that's what I've always heard in Engl clips.
Any experience with the Fireball 100? I think it's mostly down to those two. The Fireball or the Artist Edition.
One of the few high-gain amp brands I've never tried. Tell me what you know.
I prefer amps with fewer knobs/switches/channels. Maybe that's why I've stayed away. But their current Artist Edition models seem more approachable. And this doesn't sound half bad.
I see an older version of this amp...
Well I just listed one of mine for sale. But now I might keep it haha. And Hiwatt is pretty well known. The Super-Hi is a Fortin amp and for whatever the reasons, his amps tend to command high prices...
One of the original techs there left to start Dover. Then left and started Valhalla, where...
I would suggest not going with the heaviest gauge possible lol. It's a pain to solder to the tabs and it's unnecessary. 14 AWG is fine. Hell, 16 works great too. What gauge is the amp-to-cab cable? Anything thicker than that isn't needed.
It's been on their website for a long time. First it said early 2025. Then it said Q2. Then it said Q3. Now it says nothing. They originally announced the production version a few YEARS ago. Anyway... doesn't really matter. If you want the hand-wired version, here it is :)
They haven't released a Chinese production version yet. They are not available. Keep in mind it took a few years for the hand-wired version to be available even though it was announced and listed on their site. Also, these aren't made in the USA. There will be additional taxes and tariffs if you...
I have two of these and willing to let one go.
Includes foot switch (cable not included, uses any TRS).
Hand-wired, modern high-gain amps are hard to find!

I've got three identical Bogner 4x12s. One has G12H-75 Creambacks, one has new UK-made G12M-25 Greenbacks, and one has Heritage G12H-30 55Hz. They all sound amazing for different reasons. Tough to pick a favorite. The 55Hz G12H-30s are cool as hell. Lots of chainsaw-like growl and grind. The...
The absolute best sound I've ever coaxed out of an amp was two weeks ago when @Exo-metal and I got together to compare two modded Marshalls I built. One was his Langner I worked on and the other is my personal modded Super Trem. Plugged straight in, with a Bogner 4x12 loaded with Hereitage...
Yeah, the Hermansson I tried was super bright and tight. I've never played a Wizard, but from the clips I suppose they're also on the brighter side.
KSR are in the same camp as other SLO derivatives like the Rectifier, 5150, Framus Cobra, etc. But I think they're some of the best sounding...
Those resistors are the PI output grid leaks. 220K for EL34. 150K for 6550. Sometimes lower, including 82K. Together with the grid stoppers on the power tubes, they add up to a total resistance that shouldn't be exceeded for the tube type. As long as you stay under the spec on the data sheet...
