    Finally started learning H90

Sometimes when I'm in a rut I go to the factory preset bank and just play and scroll. So many unique sounds that can inspire creativity. The "harmadillo" is my latest favorite. You can get some cool syncopated rhythms going with the various filters you can tweak.

    Yeah, I Won’t Be Shipping Amps Again…

I just shipped a 101B back to the mothership in LA. Fully insured was 133 bucks from Hawaii through pirateship. That was 60 bucks cheaper than the UPS store quoted me. Don't know how they do it but I'm a fan.

    Reverb prdals

Just get a H9, preferably used if you're trying to save some $. It can do a lot more, but it can do excellent reverb in about any style you'd imagine in typical eventide quality.

What's your current favorite 6V6 powered amp?

Goldfinger SL. Reinhold nailed the marshall tone with 6v6s somehow

What are the "in" reverb pedals these days?

a used H9 is hard to beat if you want that eventide sound on the floor. they're pretty cheap now that the H90 is out.

    Price Check - Bogner 101A

Basic 101Bs are between 2500-3k. Hard to see how a 101A is cheaper

    Price Check - Bogner 101A

Probably 2800-3k depending on locality. I like the EL 34 model better based off a limited demo off the 6L6. Still a fantastic amp

Bogner Helios owners, talk to me

You should try a Goldfinger SL. Does 60s/70s/80s like the Helios, but has a clean channel that's easily bogners best (and foot switchable). Add a tailorable boost for each channel and it's my favorite of his designs

    0000 Steel wool revelation

It got a bit tacky. I live in HI with ridiculous humidity all year.

    0000 Steel wool revelation

Just a quick rub with the magic eraser to take some of the tackiness off the finish. Almost imperceptible

    0000 Steel wool revelation

not that i'm aware of. i've used one on a suhr modern, fender EJ strat, and an xotic telecaster to great effect. no downside really, just pause every now and then to assess how much you've taken off.

    0000 Steel wool revelation

a mr clean magic eraser does a fantastic job. it's basically an extremely fine sandpaper embedded into the structure of a foam block.

What are your guys favorite reverb and delay pedals, and what are you currently using?

Hard to beat an H90, or if you want cheaper the H9. Can do world class delay or verb in the H9, or both on the H90. And to be picky, the H9 has some algorithms that can do both delay and verb at the same time too.

    The best deal

I snagged a Mesa OS 4x12 and a Friedman Smallbox for 2k locally last year. Ended up selling the SB for 2k so I basically got a free Mesa 4x12

Any Fryette PS2a users here? what's new in latest?

The upgrade from 2 to 2A is an adjustable line out in the place of the low pass.
