    NGD - LP custom, 79

Very nice ! Might be the maple neck coupled with aged humbucker that gives it more clarity than a run-o-the-mill LP. Those 70s LP custom often sound great...

LOL thanks for your understanding. Headstock shape is an important and touchy topic ! :ROFLMAO:

JAMES TYLER is a suppository of beautiful guitars

PRS headstock on a strat body is not OK. That's why I wrote "tolerate", not "love" or "like". Still somewhat a pain to look at. But Suhr and Tyler are both untolerable for me, whatever the body shape. Especially at those prices LOL

JAMES TYLER is a suppository of beautiful guitars

Is it allowed to write in here that the Tyler as well as the Suhr headstocks are both fugly ? LOL I can tolerate PRS headstocks but I generally hate their guitars. That's another problem entirely.

Being the Lowballer Douche Bag (Brand Revealed)

We could all lowball him around $200 or $300 during a two weeks course then you could offer $900 again ? Maybe he will reconsider LOL

DiMarzio Super Distortion old vs new. How are they different?

I currently have an old (maybe '80) BC Rich Eagle with stock Super Distortion. It sounds awesome, with a lot of zing, almost like a single coil. I also have a 2016 Gibson V Pro T with a modern Super Distortion in the bridge. Sounds totally different. Great in its own right but much more generic...

MCI on the way.. 1st Wizard

OK I totally understand since I was in the same situation at one point (long ago). Then I found a place where I could live and make noise night and day without disturbing anyone. I can only wish you the same. It took time, a lot of money and effort but it's well worth it !

MCI on the way.. 1st Wizard

You say that like you took a vow or something... Any reason to not play thru real cabs ? How do you play your amp heads out of curiosity ? I cannot fathom not playing electric guitar thru guitar cabs, especially with such nice gear.

NAD: cheap Wizard content (now with clips) - 2nd Update = MTL

I think the main reason is the outrageous prices... Not that there's anything wrong with super expensive gear.

    Racks still rule

For loop level/buffering issues, I really like the CAJ Loop Interface that I use with my SLO loop ! It has kill dry and bypass functions too. Very handy !

I like the tolex, it's funky. Wizard's new or used prices though

New amp search. I think new 1959 Marshall is in the running.

Again, might be the best sounding Marshall I heard in a long time (the 1959, I'm less convinced by the 800). I thought it sounded great in the other Steve Smith official demo video as well. "Yadda yadda they only added a switch and a cap for $1K" etc. Still it sounds better than all the other...
