    Marshall JCM800 bass cab?

Got four 800 cabs (two full stacks), two of which being bass cabs. They sound great. all G12-65. None of them are stereo. All mono 16 ohms. No deeper, exact same size as lead kind. Go for it !

    Who's using a Klon-type for metal?

It does sound good IMHO (I do it with a Way Huge Conspiracy Theory). It does something great to the high-mids. But it is noisier (hiss) than my other boosts, especially the Maxon OD808. I still prefer the OD808 in the end. Here are the perfect settings for a 2203 on the OD808 as a bonus : Drive...

Soooo… $3499 for the RI Dual Rec?

Got a 2203 half-stack for about $300 but it was in '92. Got another one for $1000 around 2005. About 20 years ago LOL

    Thinking of going low gain

Your ears do not fool you, I was gonna suggest a Hiwatt. Lately, I've been playing a lot with my DR103. A Plexitube into it sounds just as good as my 2203. A MXR 5150 OD into it is really brutal.

    NPD - DigiTech The Drop

Tracking/response is perfect, the best there is as of today. The only drawback is a change in tone when going lower and lower, as if the guitar is becoming more and more anemic. It's not really noticeable until you go to four semitones below. Three semitones is OK.

Best OD for a Dual Rectifier?

Ditto. After hundreds of experiments, I always come back to my trusty Maxon OD808. It sounds great and doesn't add much noise when everything's properly set up. Interestingly, it works best in my Rev G Dual Recto, but also in my old 2203. Great pedal.

    Help!

First answer, with what you got : you don't. Not possible. You need an FX loop switcher.

    Chuck Schuldiner, 13-December-2001, RIP

Spoke to Gene Hoglan at the end of a Death concert in Paris around 94 or so. One of my first real metal moment LOL. Can't believe it's already 30 years ago. Been an avid Death listener since as long as I can remember. I also was at The Eindhoven Dynamo Festival in 98, the one they recorded on...

Old Sovtek 5881 vs New Sovtek 5881 Power Tubes

Just checked the newer set has a date code. Don't remember about the older one that was about 10 years old.

Old Sovtek 5881 vs New Sovtek 5881 Power Tubes

Bought some wafer base 5881 last year to re-tube and re-bias my SLO. Worked fine and sounded better after than before.

    Let's see your current pedalboard.

I love tinkering endlessly with pedals ! Big pedalboard with big pedals : Mid-sized pedalboards with Sonuus/Digitech Boss things : Small pedalboard to go into my Hiwatt DR103 : Small board on top of SLO100R mini-stack : Current tinkering with other things :
