I don't own and never have played a Wizard. I'm sure they're great amps. I did have a matched Octet of GE 6550s that I ran in an Ultra-Lead. They're basically a higher headroom 6L6GC. They were very similar in tone to a =C= 6L6GC, but they sounded a bit bigger and felt harder.
I haven't run...
Isn't the Sovtek 5881 only a 23 watt tube? It says it's 22.5 on its spec sheet. I would back down the bias a bit, see where the plate voltage goes and recalculate from there. You're at 85% at idle right now.
Yeah, I'm going to find out what it is. It's either that or get some nuts to fit the 3/48 screws. Stew Mac sells the nuts. I just haven't gotten around to doing it yet, as there has been WAY TOO MUCH going on over the last few months.
You wouldn't happen to know the height screw size by any chance would you? I emailed them a while back, but I got nothing. I guess I will just have to call Tom to get the answer. The regular 3/48 stuff is too small.

The H humbuckers have ceramic magnets. The HN humbuckers have neodymium. The HC/HF humbuckers use alnico magnets.
I use the H3+, H2+ and H1-. They're very thick sounding, but they aren't harsh. There is just a lot of depth. The H3+ feels a...
The only thing I heard in his video was if Dave King ever sells the rights to the amps, he would sell it back to Joe Naylor.
Dave has always been great, but he is only a one man operation. Joe could get it going again real well.
On the Superdrive and Superclubs... Yes, I like the low input...
***Ramble Button On***
One thing I do remember doing with one of the older ones was using an A/B/Y with it and a Mesa Mark IV. I was able to get the Mark IV very close to the Naylor. The closest thing to it that I've owned was the 101B. Also, the Naked I had was in the same vein, but the...
Yeah, it's dark and bright at the same time. It's weird, but it's a wonderful weird. I use mine for hard rock.
I was looking at the clean channel settings on the CAA, and I can tell my kids were turning the dials.
Just make sure you leave the amp plugged into your cabinet. If it's a parallel loop, no sound will come out of the cabinet. If it's a series loops, turn the mix to 100%, and you should be good to go. You won't need a load box.
You can start by messing around with Garageband. I think it's...
"Here is an amp that most of you haven't ever played." Proceeds to play typical crap most people from TGP would yank it to and talks the other 13 minutes of the 14 minute video.
Love,
Dale
P.S. - I've owned over a dozen of them and still own one.
I'm doing fine, and I have been the whole time. As we say down here in the south, "It's not my first rodeo." I know the best thing I can do is stay out of the BS.
Well, we buried my Dad the day before yesterday. We had found out he had Stage 4 lung cancer about a month and a half ago. He had taken his first round of chemotherapy on the 1st of July, but his kidneys gave out 2 days before his next treatment on the 22nd.
Anyway, I guess I'm the most...
Insert lowest wattage $5000+ flavor of the week over there where the owner makes a clip or video of 3 notes bent up 2 steps and designates it as the second coming of Jesus via guitar amplification. Then, it's for sale 2 or 3 months later. Rinse and repeat. That sums up The Goobersmooching Page.
