Recently picked this bad boy up. What a guitar plays great and ring like a bell. I am contemplating swapping out the bridge pickup (SSV+) for something with a bit more sack like an Aldrich, but I knew that going in. This guitar rules.
Pics below from my dealer. Thanks Gelb!
Curious as well.
I love my Hagen, but I need a footswitch. Been playing my Boogies and Bogner more because of it (none of which sound as good as the Hagen btw).
I made no change to the pre-amp tubes. I replaced the power tubes with another set of JJ KT77s.
I have not had it biased yet. I just popped the tubes in to see if it was a tube issue. I have heard differing points of view on whether or not I should have it re-biased given that the...
New power tubes did the trick.
I plug straight in and tried multiple cables/guitars.
Glad to be back in business. The Mark and my 5150 can go back to being paper weights.
I have a Dr. Z Airbrake that works pretty well with most of my amps. I don't really use it with my Hagen. I find that netween the channel and master volumes, i can tame the beast.
I have had my Hagen for a few months now and love it. This past weekend when I was playing, it began to make a whooshing sound when I was playing. When playing the sound is less noticeable, but when you stop it sounds like you are at the beach. It does not make the noise when on standby. I am...
I have a line on a nice Bogner 4x12 with Greenbacks, and I was curious if anyone with a Hagen had tried it with greenies. I mainly play in the style of DeMartini, Lynch, etc.
Another alternative could be the Diezel with the Tone Tubbies.
I may eventually move my Mark. It has a very ripping lead tone which I like quite a bit. I think the recto cab is well suited for the Mark, but I am thinking the Hagen would be sound better though something a bit different. The recto sounds a bit woofy and boomy.
I am currently considering a...
Just picked up a new Hagen and really dig it so far. I didn't get a chance to play before I bought, so I was a little unsure, but so far so good. This thing seems to be more my speed than the Herbie or Einsteins I have played.
I am currently running it through a Recto 2x12 cab with Vintage...
