It seems the neck shape is different between these two as well.. I was thinking I'd get the smaller neck but if the pickups are that different, I'd better stick with the one with 490 pickups.

I just bought one of these on Reverb for a decent price and the guy quickly cancelled it and refunded my money. Said he just sold it locally. The used ones at GC have $100 shipping charges when you try to check out. I'm not paying that much more for one. I'll keep looking... I can see on...

Here's what they are saying about the Thiele. I guess people complained because the specs were changed from the original ones. They seem to think the C90 is a good era-appropriate replacement for the EV.

I'm on the hunt for a good Mesa 1x12 and it appears that Mesa has brought back the Vintage Thiele to pair with the new Mark IIC+ HRG. I'm kind of new to these but from my little bit of research it appears the older Thieles were better. I wonder how the new Vintage ones compare with the C90s?

I wonder why they quit making these? That's good to know.. I love the tone with just one on the floor. I bet it would look really cool with two JEL cabs and the JEL20 on top. I've got to get rid of this 4x12 to make room for these 1x12s.

I've been doing more research on these widebody cabs like yours with the screws in the front like the Thieles and it seems these are widebody Thiele cabs... is your ported?

Decisions, decisions.. I spent half the day yesterday testing various speakers in my 4x12 with this amp and thought I had it sounding pretty good. Then I plugged back into my JEL 1x12 and that thing just slayed. It sounded bigger and better in my little office. If I could get the back off...

How did the Thiele compare to the Friedman 1x12s? I'm particularly looking to add this 1x12 for my DRECT module in my 20IR.
