Gibson "good wood" era [1990 to early 2000's] fact of fiction ?

I have been lucky with Gibson I guess, have bought several sight unseen and they are great. I only had one dud and that was the turd produced in 2015..the great debacle. My core group all have a very lively feel, they almost jump out of your hands when you play them due to great resonance...

HNAD.......The Badlander is in the House!!!

Thanks. Well, today it is pretty easy/affordable to have amazing recording gear ( untill you step up to external hardware and go down the studio mic rabbit hole.....lol).

HNAD.......The Badlander is in the House!!!

That is what I like about it, enough low-end for my playing, without any flub. Also more than enough gain for me. I can tell this amp will record very well, just like my Silver Jubilee.

HNAD.......The Badlander is in the House!!!

In the brief time I have had with my new amp, it gets along with the SD-1 just fine, but I like my amp 'tight as piss'.

Which cable do you trust to run your rigs?

Digitech. Excellent cables. 3 levels I usually just buy the mid level ones, lifetime warranty and I have used them a bunch and zero issues.

HNAD.......The Badlander is in the House!!!

No I have not owned a Recto before, almost bought a few in the last 6 months though. I have owned a Mark V 90watt, A Royal Atlantic 100 watt, and an Electradyne. The Badlander comes stock with el34 power tubes, but you can run 6L6 as well. Mine is 50 watts so (2) el34 and (5) 12ax7.

HNAD.......The Badlander is in the House!!!

Briefly played the amp for a half hour or so tonight, all I can say is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!! Love it, love it, love it! Tight as fuck. More than enough gain for me. Ran a SD-1 into it.....prefer the amp without boost. Clean and crunch sound great....I can see I am going to have trouble...

    Probably buying a Mesa Badlander 50 head......should I???

My Mark V went bye by. Most unreliable amp I have ever owned. It was versitile though. I'll give the Vadlander a go, like I say I have a bunch of Marshalls that are my main noise makers.

What do you guys like as a high gain JCM800?

Good point: Marshall 2555x Silver Jubilee. Very versatile and absolute ass-kicker!!!!

What do you guys like as a high gain JCM800?

    I have a modded 2203. If I didn't, I would seriously consider the new Marshall modded 2203.

    Probably buying a Mesa Badlander 50 head......should I???

Good thought but that pedal is $569.00 plus taxes here in Canada and I my JCMs don't have loops. Rather put that cash into an amp.
