Never liked them. I started with metal panel Super Leads, ‘69, ‘71 and ‘73. Didn’t like the sound or looks of the 800’s.

Check out some lower gain from the Vintage Dirty Channel on the MGL50. It’s available on both the 50 and MGL100.

Thanks! I like PAF style for these amps, the clarity works with any kind of gain you throw at them, especially high gain.

I like all their tones but favorite tones for me would be from the albums Powerage, If You Want Blood You Got It-Live and Highway To Hell. (y)

I get them as backline on fly dates, definitely usable Marshall tones. I use the Lead 1 mode as TheGreatGreen mentioned. I have an EP Boost hitting the front if needed and a Nobels ODR 1 but for what I do, the Lead 1 is all I need. They’re not as chewy or greasy like my MGL100.
