NGD, first LP in over 10 years

Don't ask about the specs haha, the shop I bought it from didn't have them, but it's a 2018 matte red finish and it sounds exactly like a LP should and plays like a dream! So excited to gig it soon! Oh and check out my original music and backing tracks - Mike

    Useful/interesting pedals for function/party bands

I play in a couple of wedding/function bands as the only guitarist and besides the usual delay/reverb/chorus that comes in handy can anyone think of any other pedals that might fill out the sound a bit when needed. Maybe something like a POG or one of those Electro Harmonix pedals that sound...

Loudest boost pedal that doesn't need to go in the loop?

I'm back to a valve amp after years using modelers and I'm looking to kick in the classic "bit more gain and a big volume boost" using my Boogie MK4 25W head on the rhythm channel with a good amount of gain. Not been paying attention to the most popular pedals for the job, but I've hear the TC...

I’m looking for some songs with killer tones .

I always thought this was an SLO100? Regardless, Face Down... is a killer song with amazing tone!

Paul Gilbert fans: Lets talk about this live performance, and the spirit behind the song.

If by endless you mean "endlessly repetitive for the past 20 years" then yes. Can't tell if you're being a troll or not tbh, even PG says he's doing his best impression of Yngwie and also himself, so I'm not sure why you've taken to bashing this amazing guitar performance just because it...

Valve combo or mini head w/speaker sim for gigging?

What would you guys suggest now we're back to gigging? I've been using a rack/midi board setup, but fancy something a bit simpler now. The Blackstar combos don't look too back and maybe the smaller Mesa heads look handy. Having speaker sim out would be ideal too. Thanks!

Clip: Axe FX III Black Album

You said it yourself - more girth and less crispiness, but it's really close and actually sounds closer when there are two guitars going on.

    Ozzy's "No More Tears" Live

Nailed the tone, great cover! How come you don't use a slide for parts of the riff though?

Worst amp you have ever played

To pile in on the Spider (I use one sometimes in my band's jam room rather than bring my own stuff), I really dislike how the EQ controls "reset" and a random effect will be added when changing to another amp model, always thought that was a really bad design choice.

    Instrumental rock track (Nuno influenced).

Thanks very much for checking it out!

Return of the king ! ( Malmsteen)

What would be awesome would be if Yngwie ditched his home studio/DIY setup he always uses and got together with a marquee producer who might reign him in and bring way more focus to an album. Someone like Bob Rock or Rick Rubin etc would be good, plus put together a crack band of amazing players...

Too Weird? (The note choices, not the guitar!) :)

Cool note choice there, I always think TOO many weird notes is unlistenable after a bit, but just a few thrown in there grabs the ear nicely.
