    Best amp at each category

100% agreed, owned a FB, invader 150 and a powerball (way back when Avenue Guitars was still the main shop in town). They had a cool sound, but felt horrid. Back on this topic - IMO there’s no best we have favourites so far mine would be Modern Metal - Hermansson mods Regular metal - Ground...

That’s how I feel as well I’d honestly even be cool with that plasticy ENGL sound if they didn’t feel so shit under the fingers.

    NGD STERLING MAJESTY

Love Majesty’s, own 2. Congrats What gauge did you use to get the tuning down to G? I struggle with my 7 to get it lower than A further down it sounds pretty bad

It's weird that I hated Rectifiers for the first 23 years of their existence...

The triples both sounded better here IMO. Pretty close between the two, would lean towards the Rev F, but would be happy with either

NGD: Who'd I just buy this Harley Benton 8-string from?

Can you adjust the pickup height? I find lowering the pickup helps with low string clarity.

FS: Mezzabarba Mzero Factory Metal Mod Fully Loaded

Stupid question, but does this make the amp more Marshally or more on the 5150 side? Since I understand this to be a SLO style amp

Letting go of my 5150III Stealth100w Head... Want to try something new and different. Options?

As someone who also likes 7-8 strings, I’ve found the tighter hot-rodded Marshall types do the articulate low tuned things really well. Like the Fortin, Hermansson, Ground Zero amps. I was also a big 5150 circuit guy. My suggestion Ground Zero Hellion (would also highly suggest Hermansson...

    Modded Recto better than stock?

Maybe it’s just me, but I’ve never found a boosted recto to do what I want. It always seemed like way too much noise and frequency interference in the high mids/treble range. What I’ve like about modded rectos is that it gives that boosted sound w/o all that noise Mod sounds good here! Not sure...

Hell Razor drunk noodling first play thru

That sounds great, so far this clip gives me the best idea of what this amp sounds like so far. I think because some of the high end seems to be attenuated by the camera position it kinda lets you feel what it sound like in the room? Not sure if that makes perfect sense

What happens if you get the pickguard wet, does it get harsher sounding?

Top 3 amps you have played

Any descriptions of the Prometheus? Anything you could compare it to? As someone who likes amps with pre-filters over using a boost it seems like a great option.
