I’ve got an SM57 from like the mid 80’s. I have a one from like 2010 too - they sound the same to me.

So I’m thinking I need to replace my plexi clone filter caps. I’m comfortable doing it, just wanna make sure I don’t miss anything. Is it as simple as discharging the caps and replace? Any precautions at power up after replacement? And what’s everyone liking for caps - fnt? TIA!!

My situation is a bit odd - it actually works great with my Ceriatone 1987, but with my Blankenship 1987 it adds a weird top end - which is not there unattenuated or with my Ho. I probably wouldn’t notice if I wasn’t recording.
