I’ve been wanting to try one of these out and found a good deal on one. It’s better than I expected, the bridge pickup sounds great. The only thing I’m not liking and was surprised by is the frets, they’re way smaller and lower than any of my other LP’s. Is this a new trend from Gibson? Curious...
Thanks man. The Silverburst has a Duncan distortion. The traditional has a set of BK dissonant aggressors, pretty thick and gainy sounding but the strings still ring out. I’d say the Silverburst is a little brighter and has more sizzle. The ebony board probably contributes to that.
