My amp sounds waay better at 90 VAC.. (BE100). Just better sustain, crunch, and all around bad-assedness. I run the output tube bias around 47 ma at 90 volts. DC is around 360. Is there a way to do this?
Hi guys, I bought a T-Wreck expression clone from a dude. It's a Ceriatone build, but the transformers have been changed to Classictone (correct #'s for the model) and the filter caps have been upgraded also. The amp sounds great at low volumes. For example I can run the amp volume at noon, but...
Hey ElectricVoodoo! Here's what yer talkin' 'bout! My leads are clackityweedilyclackityCLACK! Instead of how I normally play..  IDGAF!! I went through the front of both amps, split the signal with Morley ABC switch. BE100 through a stock EVH cab on top. Below (out of view) the EVH...
I like 'em. You have to turn the volume up and lower the gain (or not). lower volumes they kind of sound flubby, but when you put the throttle down, they sound better. I used TAD6L6GCSTR, my volume and gain looked like this... \ / ..  .. I went to an EVH cab, dry, then used the line...
Using 6l6GC's, dropped the voltage to 95 VAC, DC voltage is 362.. should I use 30/362= .0828. 83x.6= 49.8, 83x.7=58.1. So I can set my bias between 50 and 58ma idle?
LP Freak asked a question concerning fuses for BE100, I pulled out Main, looked at it, put it back. Pulled out H.T., looked at it, put it back. Told him what I had in my amp. I flipped on my amp and let it warm up. Flipped standby on and ANGANNGANGANGANGANANG.. Amp made a horrible noise. I...
Peavey 6505+. I pulled 2 power tubes, from the back, right to left 2 and 4. Used Alessandro bias and matching meter, tubes at 40ma each at idle. That's as low as she will go. Flipped to 8 ohm output into a 16 ohm cab. Is this ok? Sounds good to me, but want to make sure I'm not messin' something...
I bought this guitar new 3 or so years ago. It plays very well, great action, sustain, love the neck and fret board. I enjoy playing the guitar... as long as it's unplugged. The pickups, no matter what height adjustment, just sound too.... :dunno: sterile.. might be a good description. Seems...
Stumbled across an article about these looking up AC/DC tone, and havn't seen much about them on here. Anyone own/use one? Are they worth the price? I already have an mxr compressor and ts9hw tube screamer. Which would be better? It will be going into a BE100. Thanks in advance!
Working on a song.. and suck at recording. How does the solo sit in the mix, and overall. Is it too mushy or does it cut ok. Any advice would be appreciated.. I know I missed 20 notes or so, but it's just a test. Thanks!

It's been out a few years now, and I've looked back in the history, What is the consensus on it now. Does it do a good job at rating 12ax7s, 12AT7's, EL34's, and 6L6GC's? I have an old B&K 707 that is waaay out of calibration, and doesn't work properly. Would the VT1000 do a better job?
