I have an alder body with pau fretboard / roasted maple neck. The roasted maple neck is amazing. Most of my other guitars are Mahogany so this is a nice change of pace guitar.

I use a 2x12 with G12H30's but I probably dont play at stage volumes, usually the volume is at 10-10:30 and everything seems to be fine at those levels

Congrats! Its a lot of fun messing around with, if your the tweaking type. The staples are HBE, Cameron and are used for a lot of patches. I like the FAS Modern too.

Sounds killer. I noticed in your videos they have that same signature Treetopper sound when palm muting. Is that because you try to get that sound when you dial in an amp, or because of the cabinet and/or camera?

This isn't really answering your questions, but I've tried Vintage 30's, G12K-100's, G12H30's, Scumback M75's. And combinations of V30/G12k-100, G12H30/V30 in 2x12 cabs. I couldnt try a M75/G12H30 combination which I bet would sound great. But my favorite so far has been the G12H30/V30...

Celestion G12H30's with Mesa's V30 in a Mesa cab sounds really good.

I noticed in the some of the new CCV videos from last weeks amp show, when the amp is on Channel 2, the little indicator/channel selector button near the input is Red. On my amp its Red (Lit) when on channel 1, and off when on channel 2. This is purely cosmetic, but is it easy to switch that...

I wasn't saying they sound alike, its just the CCV has one quality of the DR that...I dont know how to explain it other than than a thump when you play. Play a Mesa Mark V in Mark IV mode, for while then switch it to the Extreme mode thats kind of what Im talking about. Tone wise they sound...

Its defintitely a "feel" when you to me. But sound wise, I've heard people compare it to a Mesa. I've only had a Mesa 50cal, Dual Rec and a Mark V. It really doesnt sound anything like any of those to me, but it does have elements of the Mesa Sound/Feel that I can see why people think its...

I think its like the Ocean mod, where it had a couple of positions to change the voicings or circuits or somethign :D
