I tend to think of RHY2 as an extension of channel 1. It seems to pick up where channel 1 leaves off.
FWIW: My SG feels at home on channel 2, yet my LP prefers channel 3.
It wasn't until I got off the bus that I noticed this was not going to be a normal evening. Smith had told me about it. He transformed my thinking about all of the signs - which was definitely a plus. Mark my word. He was a maverick, standing there wearing his original tweed jacket, but there...
Given that I like the sound of an amp, the things which then set it apart and make it "perfect" for me are:
The amp inspires me to play well. You begin to thing of the amp itself as being an instrument. You smile at what you can do with the amp and all of its options.
The layout of the amp...
Check out Studio Slips at https://studioslips.com. That's what I use for my Nomad and my TA-30. They work fine. Mine even have a zippered pouch on the back for carrying extra cords and so forth.
I've had my IVb for the longest of any of my amps. Great amp. My LP thrives on the lead channel, and my SG loves it on the middle channel. Lots of good tones in there. Once you learn how the TMB work together, it opens up a lot of possibilities. The manual was a big help in getting a jump start...
I use a 3x3 switcher of his to swap between the speakers of my combos. It's nice because I can pair any combo with the speaker from a different combo. Nice option for recording. I use a PS2 in the attenuator loop. Allows me to use the effects loop in the PS2.
I don't do a lot of switching...
I must be the other one. My LP likes channel 3, but my SG shines on channel 2. Like you said, some very nice vintage tones there. To extend this a bit, like the gain structure of channel 3 (with two controls for it). The interplay is interesting and provides a means of fine-tuning the channel.
Like @Monkey Man, I switched to a pen with the right tip shape. A Pilot pen. In addition to what he mentioned, I found it took a lot less pressure on the page for me to write. With my arthritis, that is a good thing!
At my last doctor appointment he was writing something down. He stopped and...
I've always wanted to have a salt-water aquarium. Bought a book about them so I could learn about what I was in for. Any of you have experience with a salt-water aquarium?
All,
My brother is a woodworker and wants to take on the task of building a custom quilted wood enclosure for one of my amps.
We sat and looked at a "ton" of pictures and I settled on quilted maple.
He is having some trouble locating the needed wood (in wide enough boards). What he has found...
