    Advice on an affordable pedalboard

Don't ever use Velcro for a pedal board. Dual Lock works much better. One strip at the top and bottom of each pedal and it holds great. And when you remove the stuff to change up the board, it doesn't leave any glue residue on the board or the pedals--unlike Velcro.

What tuner pedal are you using ?

The TC Electronic Polytune Noir works great for me. I play gigs in the day from time to time and the screen on my trusty old Boss TU-2 was unreadable in sunlight. The TC Electronic is as visible in direct sunlight as it is in a dark bar. I also like the fact that TC is smaller than the Boss.

No, it's not (it was Friedman). Fun Fact: I designed the Cameron Amps logo. I was friends with Mark at the time and he told me me he wanted something that looked like the old "Corvette" logo. So a graphic artists friend and I went through a bunch of fonts until I came across something that I...

We have had numerous offers. The amp is getting a good go over by a well respected tech right now as we wanted to make sure there are no issues before it is sold.

I haven't seen the amp for a few years. John just sent me these pics. He promised to send more soon. This one is not Simul Class-- so I believe that makes it an HRG.

John still has both Coliseums. He has no intention of selling them. I don't know who Reza is, but his story is not true.

No idea who John Cochran is--nor does Sykes. The phone number is nobody we know. John can't remember exactly what it was used on.

Price Check: Dual Recto Rack Mount Heads

Can you guys give me an idea what a Mesa Dual Recto Rack Mount head from the early years are worth these days? I have a friend who has a couple and he is thinking about moving them. The last sale I saw on Reverb was from 6 years ago and it was only $1300 and I thought they were worth far more...

Sorry, that was around 2006 or so and several computers ago and that file didn't survive the transitions.

    somebody jump on this!!

Fun fact: I designed the logo you see there for Cameron Amps. I was trying to help Mark way back then and Mark said he wanted something like the old "Corvette" lettering. I found a font that was close and a graphic artist friend and I refined it to what you see on that amp. I sent it over to...

I can see!!! Luminlay kicks ass

I'm a big fan of Lunimlay. I have them on two guitars and they are very helpful on dark stages in the dive bars I often play in.

    My God...This Tone!!!

John has two identical Mark III Mesa Coliseums that he used for much of Whitesnake 87 and Blue Murder. He always thought one sounded better than the other. He eventually took the one he thought was not quite as good to Mesa Hollywood. They did some work on it and after he got it back, he said...

    My God...This Tone!!!

Actually, they were two Mark III Coliseums (no stripe) into Boogie Half Back 4x12's with Black Shadows on top and EV's on the bottom. There was a Lexicon PCM41 in there. Also, John has a way of putting vibrato on chords that sort of sounds like there is a chorus on even when there is not.

    My God...This Tone!!!

Actually, not true at all. Sykes, MP and Sheehan agreed to have Bob Rock to produce the album . Bob said he would do it but he wasn't available for two months. They all agreed to wait. A short time later MP decided he didn't want to wait for Bob. Sykes disagreed and wanted to wait for Bob. Sykes...

    Tim Henson's new home studio

Maybe not to you, but the sounds and production on the first Loverboy album gave a big boost to the careers of Bob Rock, Mike Fraser, Bruce Fairbairn and made Little Mountain Studio in Vancouver THE place to record for much of the 80's.
