I too would love to test the Savage SE. I currently have Savage 120, Special Edition E670, Invader II 30Anv edition with the sound module. Heck I even have special edition preamp in rack too. But they have been hard to come by lately.
It is supposed to work like that. I have owned two savages and played one in a music store. They all behave the same way. I thought the same thing at first but as I as tweaked and tweaked I noticed the small changes. Then once I read the manual it all made sense.
I am looking for a engl savage special edition e660, this model exactly. I already have the Savage 120 but have a urge to play the Savage SE cause of the 6L6 power section. Let me know what you got.
I don't agree with a lot of what you have said, but we have had contact. You trying to play it out like I have not responded what so ever. My internet has been all messed up and has been up and down all week. I alerted you about that. You knew it would be a few days before I could respond to any...
I am really sorry I have not been able to respond to your emails. My internet has been down all week. Please check your email I emailed you a few minutes ago.
The Framus Cobra is kinda a one trick pony. It is in the middle between a 5150 and a Recto. Its not quiet a recto and not quiet a 5150 either. It hits that metalcore sound perfectly if you use a boost. I totally dig it.
It is a hard amp to tweak, that's why some people hate them and say they...
You nailed there current state right there. They tried to reverse engineer on DM and I think it failed.
When it comes too new material, I agree. If they have some much stuff written they should have put out 2 albums since DM, but they are parents now. It is kind of hard to get albums done if...
I am not trying to be a d***, but that is a pretty low standard to go by.That right there is the nail in there coffin for me when it come to this band. Not your personal opinion but your statement sums up why I stopped following metallica years ago. When you listen to everything before load, you...
I'll chime in on the 5150 series. I have tried all of them except the peavey 6534+. I have done a ton of tracking with all variations of the 5150 series.
I have owned the 6505, 6505+, evh 100 and the EVH 100s. I currently only own the 6505+ and the evh stealth. I have spent a lot of time with...
I was not aware they changed them to KT88 tubes. That explains why they did a transformer change I had heard about. I will have to check mine, I bought mine about a year ago. I need to see if it has kt88 in it, I thought it have 6550 tubes.
That is exactly what the GC in my town has. I have a bigger and better collection of equipment at my house than they have, it totally sucks. When they first came to town they had tons of amps and guitars. Now, they have almost nothing.
This is the first time reading a thread about an amp that I can say EVERYONE is right, atleast when it comes to the Engl Savage.
I first played one at a music store and fell in love with the Savage. I plugged in and it was instant bliss. Someone bought it before I saved up the cash, so I ended...
