Apparently Sykes has spent his time at Prager U by way of 4chan for some Stupid is as stupid does lyrics. Music was uninspired and lacked anything innumerable others could/would/will do.
i just lost all interest/respect for Sykes of the present/future.
I have a similar space. I arranged things somewhat differently; my desk is along the long wall with the treated wall relativly close to my back. Main diff is that I have 12 foot ceiling, but the wall behind me is all book cases randomly loaded with books, mags and angled foam sections...
For my Mesa 20:20 I use a Mesa 2x12 with input jumper cut so that it makes it a Stereo 12 so I can use it to run 1 or both sides of the 20/20. Fun to run wet/dry.
If I dont use that Cab I use a Hot Plate attenuator to act as a dummy load.
Ive only seen a few shows that had little redeeming aspect.
Motley Cru.....Girls, Girls,Girls Tour at The Tacoma Dome. Whole band just sounded off and out of sync....they kept the spots alwaya on the stripper/dancers all night to try and draw attention from Vince.
Dokken opening for Priest on...
Bad Religion 2009 ish, Seattle, El Corazon.. Front row on my wifes birthday. Amazing Show.
Dio 1985, Seattle Coloseum with Yngwie in the middle slot and TKO opening. My first non club concert, I was wearing a Celtic Frost denim with still wet oil paint that rubbed against this giants...
Three Favorites in the 80's, or Three that influenced me the most, or the Three I still listen to now?
Then.
1. Queensryche . Rage for Order
2. Yngwie Rising . Force
3. King Diamond . Them
Turns out if I only get Three then they never change. The other Thousand underneath are more...
If I remember right, Randy borrowed the black les paul from the photographer that did the shoot and the cradling the classical shots. Cant recal the photogs name at the moment, did alot of 80's mag cover shots. Too damn early for my nocturnal self to be working the wee gray cells.
My fav live...
Every release of the first Ozzy albums sounds somewhat different. I have 6 different releases of Blizzard, Original vinyl, UK vinyl, US CD, Japan vinyl and finally the 30th anniversary set and mp3 - flac rips of each.
Each one sounds somewhat different, very much a remaster level difference in...
For lick/riff based content I really like brewsters channel. And for theory based content I enjoy Adam Neely's channel alongside Rick Beato's.
I have tried to like Steeley Dan, at least every year or two I try multiple listenings to AjA and a couple other albums. Even though I recognize the...
From what I read, this concerns EU law. Basically Fender set a minimum price and prevented dealers from selling or advertising under it. Even though Fender does it in the US with MAP, it is illegal in the EU(or some countries in it ), apparently open pricing is enforced to keep competition for...
It reminds me alot of the Jackson SL-4 that I have. Particularly the unbound neck and lower tier Floyd. I have found that some of the japanese necktru's are better than the USA's duri g the early to mid 90's. Ive got RR1 professional that is heads above any Us custom shop I have owned or tried...
I have been thinking of putting mine back into service. So if anyone can chime in on firmware ideas.....best, most stable...stay away from..etc.
Thanks.
Previous in this thread is a mention of the programmed drums on the Eye. There us a video(cant seen to find) of King addressing this issue. He says that the drums were all played on a E-kit and the sounds were triggered samples. The only drum machine used was during the writing stage, when they...
Before adding a floyd nut, you could try some locking tunners and removing the Kahler nut lock. The Kahlers have tendency to slip. I know locking tuners dont add stability, but they will remove the number of string wraps that move.
Its also possible that problem is in the bridge setup not the...
My original Jackson case from my 91 Rhoads professional is a traditional sized case. So it shouldnt be that hard to find a case in that format.
My pickup choice was Emg 81/60, so im sure youll enjoy yours.
Best of luck.
At the time I always thought the Yngwie 'Owned' the Solo, then came Vivian. But, whenever I watched the video, I was mostly in awe/jealousy of Geoff Tates voice and embarassed by don Dokkens weakassed voice. As cheesy as the song is, the collaborative construction makes it a unique timecapsule.
Ive seen KD/ MF many times, including this last tour. His vocals were great this last time and the Blueray is a good representation of what I saw/heard. Only disappoint ment this last time was that I was 1st row in front of Mike, he was great but I m a Andy fanboy.
I feel the audio is "live"...
Just a FYI. KD has a new Concert blueray"Songs for the Dead". Its interesting because it has two identical concerts on it. One Us date and the other a Euro festival, both from the last tour where they do Abigal.
Cant recommend it enough for KD and Andy fans.
LeRoque is a huge influence on me, but so is Denner. Ive been a huge MF/KD fab since the first Ep. Denner and She rman did a a 30th anniversary vid for Melissa also.
