I've just had this EMG 81 equipped guitar for a few months, but it is my No. 1. The bass is the only one I own, a Warwick Vampire SN-5. and I think it is a good match. I headband on the bass parts, but not the guitar. I can even make a stank face. Just too busy when I'm playing guitar haha.

Apparently, this is one of the most hated amps on the forum, but I really like it a lot. And that's despite my poor mixing skills and playing. So what's wrong with the tone? Would love to get some constructive feedback on what sucks about this amp.

Just some riffs in a mix through this amazing combination of gear. I know there's a lot of dislike for the Savage 120 on the forums. and I'm not sure why. Aside from my poor mix, this thing really cuts, and sounds pretty brutal imho. No boost either.

This is in a double dropped tuning. Guitar is an OD Guitars Venus 6. Running the amp into my Fryette PS-2 and then into the Axe FXIII for a cabinet.

I compared Channels OD1 and OD2 on the JVM. Funnily enough, I think the best tone I got out of the amp was with all the EQ controls at noon on OD2. Just very modern sounding.
