Interesting. The Archon seems like a sleeper amp. I don't think I've ever tried one but your endorsement of it has my interest peaked. I don't really know much about those.

Corrected that for you. Maybe not THE best but damn if it isn't one of the more straight forward/instant gratification amps out there. I prefer a Mesa Mark over this but if I had 1k to buy an amp and only 1k it would be a Peavey and then use the rest on a used cab and boost

What??? In the early to mid 90's I can't say how many killer nights started off with World Eater! I play Mercenary on guitar probably once a week. I have an IR that gets me that tone quite easily. I also used to have a GX700 that they also used at one point. Missed a few chances to see them...

This is one of the best hot rodded Marshall amps I've ever owned or played. I miss mine terribly. If I had the cash I would be heading to Raleigh stat(I'm in Charlotte). I have the Evil Joe right now and love it.

I'm using a KSR 2x12HW and for my use case it works quite well. I need to get another 2x12 in the next couple weeks and I'm thinking about a Marshall 1936. I had a 1936v a few years ago and loved it. I just sold my KSR 412 and I regret selling it but I wasn't using it enough to justify keeping it.
