i was checking those U shaped window units out last year, and will probably get a couple for this summer. We really only use A/C in the bedrooms so I like having some window bangers around when we need them

the "bright" channel takes them pretty well. I made the "normal" channel overly dark with a bypass cap on the plate resistor, so the channel by itself isn't great, but it's more for blending it in with the bright channel until you get the fatness you want. I’m slowly stashing r22 away as well. We replaced one multistack chiller last year and another one probably this fall that I’m not banking on reusing much from. I have a couple cans of 502 kicking around too just to say I have it lol
