    Another "recommend power tubes for the Herbert" thread

    I'm running all =C= 6550's in it now, but lately I've been starting to miss a bit more "lofi" type of tone. A bit more glue and goo to the tone, you know? So, EL34's, 6L6's, KT66's? I do like the punch the 6550's give though.

    Herbert problem - solved

    My Herbert is making a very loud rumbling noise on all of the channels. It sort of sounds similar to when you have a faulty cable that crackles. It doesn't make it if I play with at low volume, but when I turn up to rehearsal volumes it starts. The noise is most apparent with low palm mutes...

    Herbert voltage

    If I'll buy a Herbert that has been built for 240V (UK voltage) and use it with 230V (EU), would there be a problem/disadvantages because of it?
