    How Old are Ya Guys?

55 and I'm starting all over again it feels like sometimes... I dropped my bad habits and started playing guitar again in 2019 after carpal tunnel surgery I lost alot of strength in my fretting hand. It feels like they cut the mojo our of it. I'm getting it all back slowly but surely. Muscle...

    Question about Dunlop Rotovibe

That's a Shin-ei. Did they check the tolerances of the LDRs while you had it repaired? That's what makes those units sound good, all the Photocells have to be in correct tolerances for a good vibe sound. I just had my Shin-ei Honey Vibe-Bro updated with better cells by the original maker of the...

Rant - Rick Beato is a douchecake

He's just another musician trying to help other musicians. He reminds me of a music teacher I had in middle school that I bumped heads with. She was very arrogant and nasty towards me because I was a big Ted Nugent fan back then and she would make fun of Rock music just to get me angry or a...

Green chicklets inside the 1968 Stratocaster

No I've never done that... I'm just messing with the different capacitors to see how it effects the tone..

I'm experimenting with different values of the same capacitor made from the same material as the Nissei..

Green chicklets inside the 1968 Stratocaster

I disagree, every component of the guitar affects the tone. Even though the tone knob might be on ten, it still has a signal passing through it. The material it's made from will affect the tone.

Green chicklets inside the 1968 Stratocaster

I just want to make sure I'm buying the right capacitor. I would imagine that polyester film compared to a polypropylene capacitor, even though the same ferrad and voltage readings, would still affect the tone differently, I'm sure it would. The signal is still passing through it....?

Green chicklets inside the 1968 Stratocaster

So that's 82 microferrads +/- 10% 100 volts... I'll give it a try in my partscaster. I really think it's going to make it too muddy sounding really.
