Hagen (as well as all other Diezel amps except the VHX) do not support MIDI CC messages.

These sound too shrill in modern Diezel amps IMO. I like the TAD 6L6GCM-STR Redbase a lot more. They sound super even with an awesome midrange.

The TAD EL34-STR sound more agressive in the highs and high mids with full low mids but way less sub bass than the EL34B-STR.

I can say that those new TAD 6L6GCM-STR Redbase sound fanstastic in my VHX and Herbert Mk3. They offer a very even and clear frequency response.

I'd suggest to disconnect and power off all other external devices, plug straight into the amp, turn off channel insert in your Ch1 preset and try again.

It's most likely a tube related issue, like 99% of the time. So don't worry.
