I have one of these, great guitar other than the cheap Floyd IMO. Even w/ a stabilizer it slips. Would recommend a little more volume on the recording FWIW.

Sounds killer as usual. How do you like the 25" scale length? I feel in love with mine over that and every time I pick up a 25.5" I notice it a little too much.

Agreed. The XTC seems like it would cut better the lower the tuning got, unless you got creative with the EQ, but I don't have much time with Rectos or XTC,

On a second listen through on my Yamaha HS8 (first was BD DT990 Pro) I like the drums more on Chris Mix 2, but maybe it's just psycho-acoustic.

Pretty typical for big bottle amps. IIRC, it's something like 6.3v @ 1.5A or so for EL34s, x6 is equivalent to a 50w space heater just for the tubes.

I like Chris Mix 1 the best, sounds more polished than old mix and is more "present" than mix 2, but maybe it's just louder.

I only recently just started trying them out and love the stability when set up well, and on a good Floyd. My hard tail guitars don't stay in tune as well but they are definitely easier when they do need to change.... I've really been eyeing a Capa Horus Floyd.

I believe Heritage Musical Instrument Insurance is the company that gets thrown around a lot on TGP and other groups.
