If you had to play in front of 20k people right now...

I don't know about hitting all the notes perfectly or hooking up with three chicks but I'd love it. I've played tons of gigs in my lifetime, by my estimate probably close to 600 and even though I get nervous before every gig, as soon as the band kicks in I'm fine, perfectly at home on stage...

    Rectos now cooler than Diezels?

You have to add the OG 5150 and 5150II to that mix as well. I mean at one time if you wanted affordable super high gain the Rects and 5150's were the choices. Both are now iconic.

Wow, used gear sales have come to a screeching halt....

Eventually it will when people stop buying as everyone is now seeing in the gear market. Things will come down. I mean I have a very nice home but it's value shop up to stupid level because of what happened. It's just going to take some time for things to get back to normal and regardless of...

Jake E Lee's tone was ahead of it's time on The Ultimate Sin

Yeah maybe so on Frigo, he was certainly into the bad stuff. He was straight on the night I saw him. Gilbert is legend, just such a badass and a good guy as well. Met him a few times in a normal setting back in the Mr. Big days, totally laidback.

    Fryette Ultralead/CLX/Sig X

Yep, totally agree. And the reason it didn't stand out as much to me at the time were my chops were never better where even the gain on my other amps weren't jacked up. To me though with Steve's stuff if you don't have your stuff together it ain't easy even on the Sig X which I always thought...

    Fryette Ultralead/CLX/Sig X

That was the one I wanted as well when I was going through my VHT phase and at that time no effects loop or even the avenue to put one in was just a no go. But for me I still think it's the best sounding VHT I've heard.

So what’s the new synergy module gonna be??

Yeah that's kinda what I want to see and it might be better than just buying a new 6505 reissue where I don't want to deal with it's master. It's been a long freaking time since I played the OG 5150 but that was my main amp for years. I like the EVH 50 Stealth, nice little amp to have around...

    NAD Laney GH-100L First Impressions

Same amp just in the 50W versions. Had the 50 for awhile as well and always liked it. One of those one's I wished I had kept because it had it's own thing yet it had some Marshall flavor as well. Cool amps. And would be cool to have around for a different flavor every now and then.

Jake E Lee's tone was ahead of it's time on The Ultimate Sin

Yeah saw him both times at The Cannery's Mainstage in Nashville. With Badlands he had his Orange Marshall Stacks. It was two stacks for sure possibly three. And he was so nauseatingly loud that of course Greg Chaisson has turn his shit up to compete with that nonsense. Honestly it looked like...

So what’s the new synergy module gonna be??

Thanks for the insight. Any experience or thoughts on the Syn50 head? Honestly I'd like to pair the Syn1 and the 6505 module with my EVH 50 Watt Stealth. Frankly I'd love to have the 6505 reissue but I'm not dealing with that amps poor master volume. Why they didn't fix that on the reissue is...

Jake E Lee's tone was ahead of it's time on The Ultimate Sin

Same here with Wicked Alliance, left again. I mean the only reason we went to that was for Jake and then that nonsense. I mean I've played a ton of live gigs, heck at one stretch 160 dates over an 18 month period, I like being loud as well but that and Badlands volume stuff, just stupid...

    Mojotone British Vintage vs Greenback

Here's more from Johan and the GB comparison. This whole thing is almost overkill lol. I'd say the 68 control speaker is my favorite. Then it would go roughly like this... New G12M25 2015 G12M25 New EVH Then a toss up between the... Ted Weber Mojo WGS - really surprised here. I think I...

    Mojotone British Vintage vs Greenback

For this exercise to me the Celestion. Just a smoother, wider spread whereas the Mojo seems to be smaller sounding in depth, more narrow, more boxy. The Celestion is just real pleasing. Then again that thing is old and road hard. Overall though have heard good things about the Mojo's though.

So what’s the new synergy module gonna be??

Synergy experts....what about the SYN1 running through your amp. Is it worth it? I've been interested in the Synergy stuff since it hit but as has been mentioned on here the power amp, dense/resonance accounts for alot. I had thought about the SYN 50 head but heard it's a little light in the...

So what’s the new synergy module gonna be??

She's a beauty. And as much as I love that checkboard Marshall, I mean you can't get more classy than that I think I'd have to mate that DR with it's own Boogie cab lol.

Jake E Lee's tone was ahead of it's time on The Ultimate Sin

Overall I like BATM much better however do agree on Jakes playing on Sin, he stepped it up a notch and IMO was his high water mark. I like Badlands, Gillen was amazing but as a player Jake took too much of a left turn for me "at that point". I actually appreciate the Badlands stuff more now...

Jake E Lee's tone was ahead of it's time on The Ultimate Sin

Saw him on the first Badlands tour with Singer on drums, honestly it was one of the most unenjoyable concerts I've seen as Jake was mind numbingly stupid loud. We stood in front of Jake for about half the set and it was like getting punched in the eardrums song after song. Finally had enough and...

    Fryette Ultralead/CLX/Sig X

Same for me second time around. My first was Sig was way earlier model, like one of the earliest based on the serial "that I could tell". Now at that time I was gigging, recording, and rehearsing heavily i.e. we were either on the road, rehearsing or recording over about a two year stretch. My...

    Fryette Ultralead/CLX/Sig X

Agreed. Had the UL myself and the Sig X. Oddly enough at one time I was in love with the Sig X, had a little more squish to it, preferred it's high gain tone to the UL (more forgiving) fantastic clean tones and overall just preferred it to the UL. However my second time around the Sig just...

Jake E Lee's tone was ahead of it's time on The Ultimate Sin

Same here. Always thought the production was flat yet polished sounding as well. Alot of Nevison's productions sounded like that at the time i.e. Heart, Kiss etc... I actually liked BATM's production better even though frankly that could have been better as well. But to each their own.
