Wow - That's pretty impressive. What's involved in the preamp circuit?

I've got a Duncan Alnico Pro II in one strat and a Dimarzio AT-1 in the other. For an all-purpose, versatile rock guitar, the AT-1 slays. Great full humbucker sound without being too much, splits better than the Alnico Pro II, and great dynamics. This pickup is a winner in strats!

Ooooh, Martin... I'm also very curious about the WGS Invaders. I've heard that M75 owners speak very favorably of the invader, as if it's a poor man's version. As a poor man, that excites me some!

Hate to state the obvious, but all knobs to noon pretty much kicks ass. I usually run my with the mids ducked back just a little as my guitar is very mid-centric. Sovteks for tubes, Jeff Bober says so.

My SD30 is a series 1 with both a head shell and a combo box. Generally, I keep the chassis in the combo but I usually run it through a Marshall 1960bx with greenbacks.

Mike - could you talk about this a bit more. I am also very curious about this, as JB strikes me a tone-junkie. The audience hears the Palmers, then? how are the palmers set? Are the cabinets producing the same massive stage volume? This is so curious to me... M

Oh hells yeah! I've got number 0018 of the series 1 SD18s and a SD30 series 1 head. The head has the volume balance mod on it, which is just wonderful. Opens up the gain side just a bit (less compressed) and helps even out the channels. Planning on making the same change to the SD18 combo...
