IMO, Warmoth makes great necks, but they cant do a Charvel. The carves are not close and the headstock is just wrong. I have a bud that had MusiKraft make a Charvel like neck that was really spot on. That's where I'm going from now on for Charvel type necks.

Y-wing is a god. I saw him once a few years ago when he put 37 stacks onstage and shoved a 'band' into a 5 sq ft corner. 5 minutes was enough. But I was stuck there for the whole set. That's enough GangWay forever. He's still great on the records tho.

This. My 'tone' has always been the best when I play a lot. I spent a year playing through one of those blackstar battery amps. My recto and Axe-fx and the rest was in my ex-wife's basement. My 'tone' was massively improved.

I slapped together an old Mesa (old school mark era metal grill) slant with greenbacks and CL80s. I've only played it in stereo with my ancient mark box (Mc90s/EV200s) and it seemed really bright and spanky. I'm no help.

I had a 85 Baretta. Headstock was not the hockey stick. Neck was unplayable thin and narrow. Sold it to an enthusiast minus the OFR for a pittance. Good riddance.
