Imperial and Ventura music are my favorite for vintage stuff. Lovies guitars in Thousand Oaks and Angel City is awesome for high end boutique stuff.

get a qualified luthier to take a look at it. make sure the neck is straight, aka no twist or hump. zit may need to have a fret level.

try a PRS from 1990 or before if you get the chance, they are incredible.
