I don't know much about these amps. I heard they are marshallish with some fizz. Is this true?

I haven't listened to this album in so fucking long and I just remembered how bad ass the tone is on there. I know that most of it is Roy Z's mixing but how would you get something that crushing, yet melodic at the same time? It's truly an epic sounding record.

I was fucking around at practice today and plugged my amp into the other guitarists cab and noticed I really liked the rythm tone but liked the lead tone from my cab more. This lead me to wonder, does anyone A/B/Y two cabs into one amp for different tones?
