I have an RJM mini amp gizmo that has 8 switches. I used to control my XTC with it. I'm not sure if they still make it, but you could look for a used one.

Does the 20 watt have the balls? Is any sort of clean headroom possible? Or will I just be wishing I went all in on the 100?

So if the sweet spot for the 100 is the Output master at 6 or higher, is that way too loud for medium sized gigs? Or as mentioned above, get the master up and bring the overall db's down via the loop?

Of course another option would be to send my 2204 to Jeremy for some Ground Zero magic!

Thanks for your insight. On the Ceriatone 2555 I had I dont recall ever using the "rhythm clip" setting, so I'm not sure if the Marshall diodes work in the same way. I would usually just boost the lead channel when necessary. Yeah, I guess $1500 isnt that far from a brand new one. A little...

As cool as the guitar tone is on this album, I think that bass tone is a MAJOR contributor to the overall tone.
