I think I'm gonna tear it apart and start over. For the life of me, I can't find what's causing this issue.

It stops when I turn the bass pot all the way down. None of the other controls stop it. But it does get worse the more the treble is turned up.

I changed the 10k resistor at r79 to 47k. This increased the gain of the green channel really well. Then, I removed the 1uF bypass caps for the red channel at c16 and c30. I can easily put it back to the stock values.

Works perfectly. I've made a few slight circuit tweaks to it that I can easily reverse if needed. $750 includes never used footswitch.

Decent shape. Functioning as expected. $775

I honestly really like my Katana, but there's just something about my tube amps that can't be beat. I'm curious to hear everyone's thoughts on this age old argument.

That's still a ton of output. 17.5k. I feel like I've tried this combination before and wasn't that crazy about it. I've tried so many pickups through the years, it's hard to keep track lol.

I have a Custom I might try. Problem is that I'll have to dremel the legs to fit in the Wolfgang. I also have a few other Duncan's I could try, but again, the legs won't fit without grinding them down. 59, Pearly Gates. Someone also mentioned the Dimarzio Fortitude, which I have, but it's nickel...

Is it similar to the Pariah 1986? I didn't gel with that either.

I've looked into this pickup. But it seems fairly close to the Duncan 59/Custom hybrid, which I wasn't that crazy about.

What's everyone's experience with lower output pickups in a Wolfgang? What pickups have worked for you? I've been through several pickups throughout the 25 years that I've had my Wolfgang. For years I had the stock pups in it. Then I tried a few SD and Dimarzio. CC, Custom/59, Norton, Tone Zone...
